Chhapamar ko Chhoro

Chhapamar ko Chhoro is a poignant, award-winning anthology that captures the visceral human toll of the decade-long Maoist insurgency in Nepal. Comprising 18 unique stories, the collection provides a raw, eye-opening look into how ordinary villagers were trapped in the crossfire of fear, state violence, and rebel tactics. Because the author drew directly from his professional experiences as a high-ranking police officer, the narratives manage to bypass generic political rhetoric to zoom in on the genuine psychological trauma, quiet grief, and ultimate resilience of the Nepali public.
