Hari Bhadur

The novel explores the untold backstory and comedic exploits of Hari Bahadur, a notoriously greedy, deceptive, and manipulative antagonist. The character was originally made famous by author Hari Bansha Acharya himself in the iconic Nepalese sitcom Madan Bahadur Hari Bahadur.
Written in a witty and easily accessible language style, the narrative tracks a chaotic village youth who maneuvers through city life using petty schemes, political opportunism, and social manipulation. Rather than acting as a simple comedy, the book delivers a sharp, dark, and cynical mirror to the systemic corruption, moral decay, and political vulnerabilities present in contemporary Nepalese society.
